Wow,  I feel like I’ve experienced so much in the past few days.  I don’t know if I really have, maybe it’s just because I’ve been out more, with varied company.
I’ve experienced once again the power and influence that one person can have on another.  Sunday I got to be in a sunday school class with a group of kids that showed themselves to be true men and women of God.  I sat there listening to Jeremy Karg quoting scripture repeatedly and was amazed.  It was so evident by the way he talked that he believed what he said(though it wasn’t a lot).  Then I looked around and saw how are discussion was so real and honest and was just so happy that all of us had grown in our spiritual maturity.  How refreshing.
Last night I went out to a party at Andy Falk’s house.  He’s the college pastor at our church.  He made us omlets and we all had a great time playing “four on a couch”  a star wars game(where you actually get to use a light saber) and throwing around this plastic ball.  Then Andy anounced that he was resigning as college pastor.  I had been hearing on the ride there and in hanging out otherwise how much Andy had taught them and helped them to grow.  There were tears and hugs.  In general it was still good.  I just pray that God can use me in someone’s life in the same way.
Last night I also had a two and half hour conversation with two people from my work about religion, one is a Jehovah’s Witness and the other is apethetic.  I could talk about this for an hour, but I will sufice it to qoute a DC Talk song :

“The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today
Is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips
Then walk out the door and deny him by their lifestyle.
That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.”

I’m continuing my conversations with both these people throuought the summer.

Please…pray for them…and for me.
